Botox vs Filler: What's the Difference and Which Do You Need?

Botox and fillers are both injectable treatments, but they work in completely different ways. Understanding the difference is key to choosing the right treatment for your goals.

Botox (Botulinum Toxin) works by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. It's ideal for dynamic wrinkles — the lines that appear when you make facial expressions like frowning, squinting, or raising your eyebrows. Common areas include forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines.

Dermal Fillers, on the other hand, add volume to areas that have lost fullness. They're made from hyaluronic acid (a substance naturally found in your skin) and are perfect for plumping lips, filling nasolabial folds, enhancing cheeks, and restoring volume to the under-eye area.

At Bella Rose, we use only premium European products for both treatments. Results from Botox typically last 3-6 months, while fillers can last 6-18 months depending on the area treated and the product used.
